Are you ready to take your goal setting to the next level? Then set S.M.A.R.T. goals. This is a powerful way to set goals that you can feel good about and actually achieve. Just follow these simple steps:
S = Specific – Set a goal that is “specific”. Simply saying “I want to make more money in my business” is not enough. You need to know how much money you want to make so you know what your working towards. Identify that figure (eg. $10,000).
M = Measurable – Now that you are clear on your goal, it has to be measurable. This is how you track your progress towards your goal. If it’s a sales goal, then you can track your sales progress towards that goal.
A= Attainable – The reason we set goals is because we want to reach them. Think about how great you feel when you hit the mark. Make it attainable. It helps motivate you into action.
R = Realistic – Make sure your goal is realistic. As much as we’d like to accelerate our goals, we also have to take into account “life stuff”. Set a goal that you know you can reach even in the midst of all the things going on in your life. Life doesn’t stop, so don’t put your goals on hold.
T = Time-oriented – Set a timeframe for when you want to complete your goal (eg. 2 weeks, 6 months, etc). Mark that date on your calendar. It helps you to break down the tasks to get to your goal and you have a clear date of completion.
Now that you know how to set S.M.A.R.T goals, it’s time to put you goals into action and step into your greatness.
